Elyse is an Independent Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, with a Supervision Designation in the state of Ohio. She received her Bachelors in Psychology from Grove City College in Pennsylvania and her Masters of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. She specializes in working with teens, young adults and adults in areas of OCD, self-harm, and depressive disorders. She has been counseling for the past 10 years in a variety of different settings.
She has worked in Community Mental Health Services as the Intake Coordinator, worked in a Residential Treatment Center for children and teens with developmental delays, has worked in Elementary, Middle school, and High schools as a counselor; as well as a variety of private practices with other skilled and qualified Therapists, Clinical Supervisors, Psychologists, and Psychiatrists. She currently owns and operates her own small business helping kids, teens and families succeed.

As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, she specializes in working with children, teens, young adults and families. She has experience in school and private practice settings. I specialize in co-occurring disorders and how mental health and substance use concerns impact the individual and family unit. I am passionate about helping others gain clarity of goals and walking alongside them while experiencing life struggles. I have experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, attention difficulties, and unregulated mood concerns. I have worked in the school, outpatient community mental health, and correctional facility setting.
Katelyn is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Ohio. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Kent State University and her Masters degree from the University of Akron. Katelyn has had experience working in a residential facility with young teens and adolescents by assisting them in areas of depression, anxiety, anger, self-esteem, and improving relationships with people closest to them. Aleesa Schlup (MA, LPC) is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Ohio. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry from Hope International University and a Master of Arts in Clinician Mental Health Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. Aleesa is an EMDR trained therapist who helps individuals work through past trauma as well as current stressors. Aleesa also loves working with couples and families to create balance and harmony in the system at home. Rebecca is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Ohio. She received her Masters of Arts in Counseling Ministries and Masters of Divinity from Methodist Theological School in Ohio. Rebecca is passionate about working with children, adolescents, and families toward healing. Rebecca has experience in residential, school and college, and outpatient settings; and is trained in EMDR, a trauma therapy. Peyton is a Counselor-in-Training (CT) intern at Thrive and is expected to graduate from Kent State University with a Master of Education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in May of 2021. She previously received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Akron in 2017. Peyton worked as a Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment Provider for two years and worked primarily with the early childhood population (ages 8 years and below). She is passionate about working with children, adolescents, and their families. Peyton has a special interest in trauma and anxiety management and approaching treatment utilizing expressive (art) therapies. Charlene is a Licensed Registered Nurse, in the state of Ohio. She received both her Bachelor's in Nursing and Psychology from the University of Akron, in Akron, Ohio. She is currently at Kent State University, in Kent Ohio, where she is completing her last year in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program. Charlene believes it's an honor to assist with the individual's discovery for the best version of themselves, by helping them reveal their strengths and abilities.

Joshua received his Bachelor's in Communication Arts from Malone University and a Graduate Certificate in Child & Adolescent Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Joshua is currently enrolled as a graduate student at Malone University in the Clinical Mental health Program and is expected to graduate with a Master of Arts in Education in Clinical Mental Health in December 2021. Joshua has served in a variety of settings such as schools, community outreach programs, and churches over the past 10 years. Joshua is passionate about working with children, adolescents, and young adults. Joshua has special interests in OCD, Personality Disorders, Trauma, and Gender Dysphoria. Joshua is dedicated to helping clients impacted by mental health disorders reimagine their lives by challenging limiting beliefs.
Brooke is a Counselor-in-Training (CT) intern at Thrive. She is currently working toward her M.A in Counseling and Human Development at Walsh University and is expected to graduate in May 2022. Brooke is very excited about working with a diverse variety of clients including children, adolescents, couples, and more. She currently works part time with an adoption agency and focuses on helping birth mothers navigate through their adoption journey. Through Thrive, Brooke hopes to continue to utilize her counseling skills by helping people work on past and present struggles and strive toward future goals.
Alida is a new Counselor in Training intern. She is nearing the end of her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy through Liberty University, with expected graduation in August of 2021. Previously, she earned her Bachelor's in International Business. She has experience working with adults and children, and Alida is excited to work with families, couples, and kids throughout her internship. She is interested in working with clients of all ages who struggle with faith, relationships, anxiety, and depression. She is especially passionate about getting her dog registered to work with clients with utilizing animal therapy.
Katherine is an Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist intern currently studying Child and Youth Development and Psychology at Kent State University. She has a passion for working with children ages 4-12 and specifically those with underlying medical conditions. Katherine believes in not only working with the child, but the family as a whole. She believes that all family members play an important role in the child's care and development. Katherine has experience in working with children who are displaying disruptive behaviors, moods, and/or undergoing unexpected changes in the home life. Katherine hopes to incorporate Play and Art therapy into her sessions as a way to foster growth and creativity. Katherine offers a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental space for her clients and families and is excited to help families grow to gether as a unit.
